History
about Spitzingseer - Almmusi
Our history started on 12. July 2003 as
I - Peppi Wunderle - was asked from the
hostess of the "Alte Wurzhütte"
(set at the Spitzingsee) if it was possible
to arrange a music-evening inside her pup.
So, I promised to set up a
music group and/or a "Tanzlmusik"
in the Bavarian style.
Now I had my first gig - but
no musicians to play exept myself playing
the Cornet. After spending quite a lot time
thinking about it, an old friend - Seppi
Hinterseer - crossed my mind, with whom
I was already playing at the
Schlierseer Blasmusik the last few years
and asked him about his opinion about this
project.
He did not hesitate very long and was fairly
thrilled by the idea to participate in our
group, playing the Bass Trumpet.
However, there was still missing an accordion
for the intermediate melodies and a tuba
for the support.
As for the Accordion, I finally asked -
Lenzi Pichler -, who I heard playing at
a birthday celebration some time ago.
The problem with the Tuba could not be solved
as simply as the Accordion, because all
people playing Tuba in our
area already were engaged in other music
groups/chapels or smaller bands and were
not to persuade that easily.
Nevertheless, during a telephone conversation
I could persuade - Andi Lechner - to take
part in our group
- so we were complete.
Our first practice gig took place
on the 29.07.2003 on spitzingsee at the
"Alte Wurzhütte" which was
offered
to us from the hostess to use for our practice-stuff.
Although, we all came from different groups
and bands we
could manage to play as "one"
band fairly quickly and had a large repertoire
soon after. During the first meeting
at the spitzingsee we agreed on the name:
"Spitzingseer - Almmusi"
